At Mission Wealth, we understand that our clients want to prudently protect and grow assets accumulated over a lifetime. Therefore, our investment philosophy, coupled with our Integrated Wealth Solution® service plan, emphasizes careful risk management and strategic planning. Using our in-depth knowledge of our clients’ needs, we develop personalized investment portfolios with customization available for Socially Responsible Investing (SRI). Our portfolios are based on Nobel Prize principles, academic research, and current trends to deliver the highest return potential per unit of risk taken. The focal point of our philosophy is globally diversified “Core and Satellite” portfolio construction. In studying the relative impact of various investment methods over time, our conclusion is that using a combination of active, passive, and diversified strategies greatly assists in lowering portfolio risk, reducing unnecessary costs, increasing tax efficiency and maximizing expected results.
The chart above illustrates a portfolio’s “core” as domestic large cap stocks, domestic mid cap stocks, international developed stocks, and domestic fixed income—asset classes that are highly efficient where low cost index approaches are most appropriate. We believe that the “satellite” asset classes of our portfolio are less informationally efficient and warrant the use of active managers and their expertise in an effort to reduce risks and take advantage of opportunities.
With dozens of asset classes and thousands of investment choices available, developing your own portfolio can be daunting. As an independent firm, we do not have any “Mission Wealth” products to sell, which allows us to be an impartial advocate for our clients. With no incentive to recommend one investment over another, we seek out and use the most appropriate option from a multitude of firms.
Experience has shown that no single firm offers the best solution in every asset class. Whether we use a mutual fund, exchange traded fund, third party manager, commodity-linked investment, individual bond, alternative trading strategy, or private investment, we utilize our expertise and the buying power of our third party asset managers for the benefit of our clients.
Furthermore, to help protect and enhance results, we establish separate accounts for each client at Fidelity, Charles Schwab, or SEI Trust Company to allow for direct viewing, security and client control.
Over the years, clients have become accustomed to our specialized ability to help provide a sense of comfort, control and freedom when it comes to investment management. Through our Integrated Wealth Solution® service model, the focus remains centered on strategies that give clients the highest likelihood of success.

MW, Mutual Securities, Fidelity, and Charles Schwab are separate and unrelated companies. Investments are inherently risky. Investments will fluctuate with changes in market conditions. Consideration should be given to the possible loss of a part of all principal invested. Investments seeking to achieve higher rates of return generally involve a higher degree of risk of principal. Investment decisions should be based on an individual’s goals, time horizon, and tolerance for risk. To determine which investment products and strategies may be appropriate for you, consult with your financial, tax, or legal professional.
